Indian travelers increasingly centered their holidays around immersive experiences during the first half of 2026, with theme parks and island attractions emerging as the most-booked activities across Asia, according to digital travel platform agoda.Based on bookings made between January and June 2026, Universal Studios Singapore, Pattaya Coral Island Tour in Thailand and VinWonders Phu Quoc in Vietnam ranked among the most popular attractions for Indian travelers. The findings indicate a shift towards experience-led itineraries, with travelers prioritizing entertainment, adventure and cultural experiences over traditional sightseeing.The trend also reinforces the popularity of short-haul destinations across Southeast Asia, where improved connectivity, diverse attractions and value-driven offerings continue to attract Indian families, groups and leisure travelers.Theme parks dominated bookings across several Asian destinations. Hong Kong Disneyland emerged as the most-booked attraction in Asia, while Tokyo Disney Resort topped activity bookings in Japan and Lotte World led in South Korea. The data suggests that for many travelers, visits to these parks have become the primary motivation for international trips rather than an additional attraction.Beyond theme parks, travelers also showed growing interest in nature and adventure experiences. In Vietnam, Sun World Fansipan Legend in Sapa recorded the highest bookings, driven by its cable car journey to Fansipan, the highest peak in Indochina. The attraction reflects increasing demand for scenic and nature-focused experiences beyond major urban centres.Marine and wildlife attractions also proved popular. Aquaria KLCC in Malaysia and Jakarta Aquarium Safari in Indonesia emerged as the leading booked experiences in their respective markets, highlighting continued demand for family-oriented leisure attractions.In Thailand, Skyflyers Giant Swing, an open-air swing rising 135 meters above Bangkok, topped activity bookings, underscoring the city’s growing appeal for adventure experiences.
