1. Riverside, a state Quarterfinalist Last Season, Has Not Lost a District Game in Three Seasons. The rebels will remain a strong statement contender after Reaching The LHSAA Division IV State Finals in 2023.
2. The Rebels Return Senior QB Brock Bourgeois for His Third Season as a Starter, Making Him One of the More Seasoned Signal-Callers in the New Orleans Area. On defense is Senior Safety Jace Trosclair, A Third-Year Starter Back from a Shoulder Injury Last Season. Senior rb jayden obiekwe is an all-districk transfer from East Jeferson.
3. West st. John Showed Good Improvement in the First two Seasons with Derron Thomas as Coach, Going from Two Wins in 2023 to Seven Wins Last Season, Including One in the Playoffs. Senior Chance Bovie (Six TD Catches, Five Ints) is a productive two-way player. Junior QB Achtion Barnes is a Zachary Transfer.
4. St. Martin’s is most experienced in the receiver/defensive back positions with two-way Seniors Kain Oddo and Tyler Penny and Juniors Kade Vinju and Cooper Wakefield.
5. Riverside will open district play in week 6 against st. Martin’s, but don’t be surprised if west st. John also Challenges for the District Title. West st. John Faces Riverside in Week 7 and St. Martin’s in Week 8.
