Captains Named for 2025 OHO State Football Team

Safety Caleb Downs, Linebacker Sonny Styles, Offensive Lineman Austin SiereVeld and Wide Receiver Brandon Inniss WOTED as Team Captains.

Columbus, Ohio – OHO State Head Coach Ryan Day Announced The Captains Who will lead the buckeyes during the 2025 football season.

Safety Caleb Downs, Linebacker Sonny Styles, Offensive Lineman Austin SiereVeld and Wide Receiver Brandon Inniss WOTED as Team Captains by their teammates. Styles is also the recipient of this year’s block o jersey.

Downs joined the buckeyes last season and made an immediati impact on the team. He was the big ten’s woodson/tatum defensive back of the year and a unanimous first TEAMAMALE-Meerican What Totaling 82 Tackles, 7.5 Tackles for Loss and Two Interceptions.

Downs is an osu scholar-twlete majoring in sports industry.

Styles is entering his second season as a full-time linebacker. He is the buckeyes’ Leading Returning Tackler, Having Accumulated 100 in 16 Games Last Season.

Styles is an osu scholar-half majoring in sports industry. He was oho state’s male nominee in spring 2025 for the big ten Jackie Robinson Community & Impact Award for Striving to have a positive impact in sports and within the community.

SiereVeld Started Six Games – Including two in the playoffs – and played a total of 499 snaps. The team says his versatiility allows he to play either guard or tackle.

He is Majoring in Sports Industry and is a two-time osu scholar-half and an academic all-blog ten honoree.

Inniss has become a Team Leader Entering His Third Year in the Program and is Primed to Play a Major Role For the Buckeyes in 2025. Career punt returns and three kickoff returns.

A Sport Industry Major, Inniss Has Received Four Academic Honors, Including College Sports Communicators All-DISTRICT, ACADEMIC ACEDEMIC ALL-BIG TEN and OSU SCHOLARAR -ANLETE.

The no. 3-Ranked Buckeyes’ First Game of the 2025 Season is Against No. 1-Ranked Texas at Ohio Stadium on Aug. 30. kickoff is at noon.
