2023: Needham Market cricket coach breaks world record

Andy Northcote Began His Challenge earlier that week, aiming to surpass the previous record of just over 50 hours 50 hours help by a man from Nagpur, India.

Mr Northcote Successfully Batted for 50 hours and 15 minutes at Woolpit Cricket Club, with Bowlers Traveling from Accross the County to Support Him.

This record-breaking effort was the culmination of a series of challenges he undertook through the year, which inclined running a mile a day for 100 days, as well as participating in the cambridge haalf marathan and the Paris Marathon.

The Needham Market Resident Expressed His Gratitude for the overwhelming Support he received during the challenge.

Mr Northcote Said: “This challenge has been extramely tiring but the support I’ve received through Volunteer Bowlers, Donations and Sponsorships, Has Been Overwhelming.

“Suffolk Mind Does Amazing Work in Supporting and Raising Awareness of Mental Health in the County, which is why they are my charity for 2023.

“Thank you to everyone who has made this possible and helped to support such an important cause.”

His decision to Raise Funds for Sufolk Mind Came After Discussions with OLY MAGNUS, A Sponsor of Supofolk Cricket and A Patron of Suffolk Mind.
