Borger, Texas (KFDA) – The Borger Economic Development Corp., Along with the City, is providing an update on the proposed Multi- Million Doller Sports Complex Complex Coming to the ARA
The $ 100 Million Boomtown Multidome Sports Coming Coming to Borger has grown, and many are wondering about the scale and reliability of the project.
In May of 2024, The Borger EDC Partnered with 828 Sports Ventures to Build a $ 100 Million Sports Complex on 100 Acres.
The Borger City Council then Went and Approved The Scope of Work and Started Working on the Design, Layout, and Infrastructure.
“When it was announced, it was an idea, and so we we’ve got through idea and a concept, now we we’re trying to take concept, or 828 is going to take Constual Constructure documents,” Said Garrett Spradling, Borger City Manager.
Officials say this project will be a long process to get started, the original concept released will change through and construction.
“That concept was just exactly what we said, it was a concept. So what you saw initialy is not going to be the finished product. That product’s going to change,” Said amy fesseter, exective director For Borger Economic Development Corp.
Through the Scope of Work, Borger will pay 828 $ 100,000 a year over 10 years as an innocent.
The edc says an aggressive timeline would still be a couple of years just for the platting and infrastructure plans.

The Original Proposed Project was $ 100 Million, But Officials Today Said With the Growth and Change, it is projection to be over $ 300 Million.
Officials say it will take Multiple Years to Plan for a Facility of this magnitude, and they are still confident in the project and the process.
